OAD INDONESIA
Started on August 14, 2004
The first OAD seeds were sent to Indonesia through an oil businessman. A lot of our stampitas with the prayer to the Holy Spirit have been handed over to Him. But seeds need time to grow. An other tentative was done with Fr. Jandir Bergozza, OAD who visited the Island of Flores. The right opportunity came with Fr. Harold Toledano. Bandung came the seedbed of OAD. From one house to the other and finally at St. Joseph’ s hill, in Cisarua.
It was for a long time that the novena to St. Joseph was going on in the last house, with a permanent burning candle, asking the saint, special Patron of the Order, to grant as a stable place in Bandung. It was a surprise, when we visited for the first time the property in Cisarua, that he was already there, a frame representing St. Joseph at the entrance of the existing family house.
At this time: 4 priests, 2 coadjutor brothers, 11 simple professed brothers, four of them ready for the solemn profession and the ordination, five postulants and a dozen of aspirants. Several OAD Missioanries have already been assigned in the mission: beside Fr. Harold, Fr. Arselito Sayago, Fr, Alex Rubio, Fr. Jay Amamampang, Fr. Joel Sumooc etc.
In 2003 - our then Superior Delegate now Provincial Superior, Fr. Luigi Kerscbamer, OAD proposed that I should try exploring the possibility of extending our mission in Indonesia.
